Reiki Session

Reiki is a system of touch therapy. It is used to create space or adjust energy in the body. Many people use it as a meditative or trance space and find that they feel better rested after sessions. I have some personal feelings about the initiation and use of Reiki in America so I stopped offering for a brief time but I do believe in the power of touch. I also believe many people have this gift and you do need to go through official Reiki classes to access it.  Sessions run anywhere from 30 minutes to 12o minutes. Can also be combined with tarot or other services. Before each meeting, I will send a list of what to wear and what to expect in more detail.

Besides sessions, I also teach and attune. Currently, I am only attuning in private sessions. Please mention attunement in email to me and we can set something up!

 Abortion/Birth Doula

Assistance before, during and after the process as needed. I use herbs, reiki, ritual, somatic  and therapeutic techniques. Trained as both an abortion doula and birth doula. Sliding scale available.

Ritual/Divination Planning

This is my most varied practice. It is hard to encapsulate what it entails in a paragraph. I use all of the tools at my disposal, all of your religious and spiritual background, herbs/ substances (when it is part of YOUR practice), and your interest in occult to determine what sort of practice is right for you. I teach candle, altar, sigil, word, bath, herb and dream rituals with a specific focus on manifestation. I also allow people to begin to dabble in the art of channeling/connecting with dead. Please note: I do not consider myself to be able to do medium work for everyone and at all times. I am not connecting others to their dead relatives. I have a relationship with the spiritual world that is not constantly open and private. I will share what I know, what I am called to share and will answer any questions. I will also help clear energy using reiki and other rituals.

My Background

For the past eight years, I have been heavily immersed in altar and ritual.  I come from a Catholic background where the act of shrine and candle lighting is normalized and encouraged. Where people openly talk to saints. I didn’t grow up with this practice. I didn’t go to mass. My parents didn’t instill any sort of religious belief into me, but my life informed my devotion. I believed in God after an intense psychedelic journey and a bout of sobriety when I had hit bottom drinking.  From there, I became interested in meditation, astral projection (after a few strange experiences) and reiki. I studied reiki for years becoming a Master/Teacher, though I take a lot of issue with the community and believe anyone can practice. It is akin to touch therapy with some imbued omniscience. I then grew interested in herbs and psychedelics and the act of ritual.

I was first introduced to a practice of magic and spell by way of friends who worked with Yoruba. The first goddess I ever called was Lilith, with no explanation, just having a sudden urge to initiate into her. I may have read about it but I had no experience or anyone who knew her.  I did a kundalini breath meditation a few times and called on her at the same time and from there, it kind of exploded. I was surrounded by visions, spirits, became wholly manic. It was fun.  Felt my entire life shredded to open to some powerful source or fountain where if I just placed something on my altar it became the thing I wanted. Opportunity met me often and fast. I became drawn to tarot and practicing divining by asking my spine yes or no questions. If it’s yes, something shoots up to the right of my heart and if it’s no, to the bottom. I can’t explain here how I’ve worked with this but it’s kind of like a live-in pendulum. I would sit in front of my altar and study cards and signs and ask for things and then *tada* receive them. I went on long walks talking to Hecate and others, constantly buying flowers and other things for my altar. I devoted myself to making altar everywhere. I would practice every night. I continue this practice, though my nightly ritual looks different, and continue to change my altar every new moon. I continue to talk to Hecate often.

 I work with four main deities: Hecate, Lilith, Artemis, and Arachne, as well as the general God. My spiritual awakening happened while embracing both the nature of Lilith; female liberation, female uplift, female empowerment, a breaking of tradition, and God; a male still in my eyes, but to balance my fierce female and the good and powerful in all things. A force of nature. Something I can breathe and heal into. I waver in practice. Devout most of the time, I recently relaxed out of some of my ritual to focus on actual rest. Some nights I just sit in my altar room with no intention but to feel my dead relatives and deities surround me. But I waver in practice and something I want to share with people is how to be wholly imperfect and find spirituality the way it works for you. I want to offer my rituals, what I have learned, my intuition, while also working with the energy of others and what they believe. Incorporate YOUR beliefs into practice that makes sense to you; something palpable.  I also want to share my dream practice. I have extremely vivid dreams and have for years (especially when I am working with mugwort). Most nights. I have lucid dreams which means I can control what happens in my dreams. It starts with intention; ritual or a light reiki meditation and I journal about it the next day. There is a lot to uncover in the dream practice which is why I wanted to begin Soporificia. To show people how to walk through dreams. To learn from spirits. And to connect with a psychic part of themselves that knows how to care for themselves even when they don’t want to care for themselves. By allowing people to be indulgent and still interested in healing, as I am. 

I will continue my education, likely enrolling in a somatic embodiment course and a hypnosis course.
